Lemonade is a company that sells pet insurance online, allowing customers to access its services via an app and a user-friendly website. The company offers a wellness plan covering routine vaccinations and vet visits and two illness and accident coverage levels. However, the company’s cover excludes some treatments and is not operational in all states.

Lemonade pays off claims with the remaining funds after withdrawing a flat rate fee from all premiums as its profits. At the end of each year, the company has a policy of donating the extra/ left over to non-profit organizations identified by its policyholders.

Lemonade’s illness and accident policy is comprehensive and can include preventative care rides for annual heartworm and parasite screening, vaccines, and check-ups. You must purchase a separate rider for alternative treatments like acupuncture and vet exams fees.

However, it is worth noting that Lemonade Pet Insurance does not cover pets’ pre-existing conditions. These are all conditions that existed before the purchasing of the policy. The company’s services are also limited to thirty-six states.
